Our story

Hey! We are the Cook family. We get to call over 200 acres in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina home. We are first generation farmers. My husband, Cody is the backbone to all my crazy ideas. Chicken coops, hive stands, dog shelters, fencing…you name it, and he will build it. I am constantly thinking of ways to be more self-sufficient. Sometimes that means adding more animals to the farm, teaching myself how to preserve food from our garden, or make homemade sourdough bread from scratch. There is a lot of trial and error that goes on around here.

We offer free range chicken eggs, raw honey and 100% grass fed beef. Most importantly we make sure all our animals, big or small, are happy and healthy.

Running a farm is hard and there is always a long list of things that need to be done. It is also what drives us. We wanted to know that the food we consumed to nourish our bodies was being taken care of and respected.
